We took Gracie to Disneyland on Friday night. She loved it!

Gracie had her 6 month check up with the doctor today. She weighs 16 lbs. 10 oz. and is 27 1/4 inches long! She had to get a few shots, but only cried for a minute. She was brave.
At 6 months Gracie loves: her blankie, her paci, her exersaucer (or command center as Justin likes to call it!), chewing on toys, rolling all over the place, nap time, giggling, being naked, blowing bubbles, eating peas, playing with daddy and much more!
Things she hates: getting stuck on her tummy, being alone, the vacuum (and other loud noises), bananas, having her face wiped.
We love you Gracie girl. You bring such joy to our lives and we pray every day that you'll grow up to understand God's love for you in a personal way!
This is a picture from this morning. Gracie woke up VERY upset at 5:45 a.m. I couldn't get her to calm down and go back to sleep, so I finally fed her. That seemed to be what she needed. I put her back in her bed with some toys to play while I showered and this is what I found when I came back to get her. I guess she was still tired!

We just got back from spending a week of vacation in Oceanside. We had a great time relaxing and being together! Our place was right on the beach, so we enjoyed the sound of the waves even when we were inside. We miss it already!
Here's a view of our place from the pier.

We went down to San Diego to visit the Aircraft Carrier Museum. Very cool.

first hair clip
Gracie is wearing a hair clip for the first time today! Her hair is really fuzzy right now and likes to stick straight up. I'm loving all the fun stages of her development and growth! I know that all too soon she won't be a baby anymore, so I'm trying to soak up each moment.
Gracie has a special "blankie" now. It's her burp cloth! She has become attached, but she goes to sleep like a dream with it . . . so I'm happy! And she looks so sweet all cuddled up in her bed with it. She loves to have it right up by her face. And, yes, I make sure she sleeps with a clean burp cloth!

Thankful for friends
We are so thankful for the great friends the Lord has blessed us with. I'm especially thankful for friends with kiddos that I can hang out with and learn from. Gracie had a play date on Friday with two of her little friends, Laura and Megan (I'm great friends with Kim and Katie, their mommies)! As Gracie grows up I pray that the Lord will give her sweet friends who she can laugh and cry with and who will encourage her to run hard after Him.

Our Little Ballerina
We dressed Grace up as a ballerina to take her to the Harvest Party at our church last night. What can I say . . . she was adorable!
