Jammies

One of the many things I love about being able to stay home with the girls is that most days they can stay in their Jammies for a bit after waking up! I just want to kiss these sweet faces :).

What a difference two years makes!

Anna already seems very entertained by watching her big sister! It is fun to see them interact.

Spring

Spring is here in NC! The trees are blooming and it is just beautiful.

Afternoon naps were not so successful yesterday, so Gracie and I played outside for a while while we were waiting for daddy to get home from work/class.

We can play right outside where we can hear Anna if she wakes up . . . and we can watch for daddy to walk home from work!

We sure do live in a pretty place right now.

Message for Nate

Hey Nate, here is a video Gracie made for you. Uncle Justin taught her to do nuckles this weekend so she can do it with you this Summer. We miss you and can't wait to see you!

Passports

Justin had the day off yesterday so we took the girls to apply for their passports. Three hours later we left! Whew. The morning was long. But the girls were such troopers, we are really thankful! It is funny to think what Anna (10 days old in her passport photo) will look like in five years when it is time to renew.

Here is Gracie at the post office when the activities I brought were still fun (about 10 minutes into our visit)

Justin and Anna still fresh early on in the morning.

Anna gave me an excuse to go to the car to take care of her poop explosion!

Over two hours into our wait . . . Anna was still hanging in there.

Gracie and I took a walk to the grocery store to kill some time and brought back cookies to help with the long wait.

I was only thinking we would have maybe an hour wait, so the bag of stuff I brought quickly got old! I think we will have many more experiences like this in our future, so I will remember to be more prepared next time :).

Fun at Home

The girls ended up being twins tonight without their shirts (Gracie helped wash dishes and Anna needed to wake up to eat!) and in their polka dot pants. As you can tell, the photo was our idea, not Gracie's! Anna was not so thrilled either.

The other day Gracie wanted to build a crib for Anna out of her blocks. It kind of worked.

New Park

We recently found out about a third park here on the JAARS center that we can play at! I don't think there is anything more fun to a 21 month old than playing at the park on a beautiful afternoon!

Anna is doing what she does best at the park . . . snoozing!

Wide Awake

Anna is so much more alert the past few days! It's fun to see her sweet eyes and fun expressions. Thanks, Mimi, for the great photos!

We've gotten several comments that Anna looks like her daddy. Anyone think she resembles her mommy too?

First Bottle

Sweet Anna had her first bottle tonight. Now Mommy and Daddy can go on a date . . . alone!

Proud to be helping!
