Anna & Oreos

We found Oreos on sale at the store this weekend. It may have been Anna's first encounter with them. She was impressed, as you can see! At 2, she is such a joy. She is talking more and more every day, loves playing outside and with her big sister. We are so thankful for both of our girls!

Pool

We went to a pool at a hotel in our city a little over a week ago. Go figure . . . it was cold. Honestly, the ONLY time we have felt cold in our 5+ months in Cameroon. We had fun anyway, just spent more time out of the pool than in it!

Love these two and how well they play together lately!

Birthday Fun Part 2

Presents when Daddy got home from work.

Kitchen set with tiny pieces :)

Celebration the next day with friends who couldn't make it to the party.

"It's my welbow"

Catching Up

We've been in Cameroon now for more than 5 months. This seems like a big deal to us! Life here feels a little more normal with each passing week, though there are definitely still a lot of things that are challenging about life in a different culture. God has been faithful each step of the way and we are so grateful for His perfect care for us! Here is a little bit of what we've been up to lately.

A neighbor's cat had babies in our yard. The girls have loved it!

Potty training has been a failure with Anna. We will give it a couple more months :).

Gracie had her last day of preschool last week. Now we are enjoying staying in pjs longer in the morning and time playing at home!

 Gracie's class.

 Snack time after nap today!

California to Cameroon

A big thing happened last week. Our shipment arrived! These are boxes we packed back in November. They then made their way from CA all the way to Cameroon. I know that stuff is just stuff (and I am praying that God teaches me that more and more), but it is amazing how having familiar things here instantly made it feel more like home. In most ways this is great (we finally have somewhere to call home and are feeling more settled) but in a few ways this is hard (whew, we’re really staying here . . . hard things and all). In all these things it is my prayer that God will be brought glory through our lives and what He gives us each day.
Of all the things that were in our boxes I’m probably the most excited about a microwave, crock pot and Tupperware (lots of it)! The girls are thrilled to have many toys and books that they haven’t seen in a long time.

Our boxes in CA (thanks again to my wonderful in-laws for letting us pile our stuff in their house).

And now all the way in Cameroon!

Gracie is SO happy to have her pink doll house.

Anna is loving all the Little People stuff too.

Bell doll from Uncle Jason, Aunt Kristy, Nate & Ellie for Anna's birthday. They are inseparable!

And this . . . just because they are cute!
